Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British composer and musician and. Harry Styles was one of the founding members of One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive, along with three of his classmates, formed a musical band called White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to their excellent performance. Although he has always been interested in music, he also aspired to become an lawyer or physiotherapist. He worked in a local bakery part-time to support his family financially. Harry Styles, in 2010, auditioned to be on The X Factor. His track Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. For that reason his band was forced to break up. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the band to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The group performed Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which made them one of the frontrunners to win the contest. Despite this, they finished third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell was a millionaire under a contract with One Direction.
