Lisa Edelstein is an American actor, most famous for her roles in House, a Fox medical drama, House. With a very strict Jewish background she was able to move from Wayne into New York City when she was just 18 years old to go to the Tisch School of the Arts. Then, in the course of time she was involved in the city's club scene, and was able to make enough headlines to get noticed by the press, concurrently, becoming conscious of the devastating effects of AIDS. In the end, she teamed her talent and fame with her writing and composing skills to create a show called Positive Me. Awake to the Wild Side, a show that she hosted on MTV became her first task. When it ended up going off the show, she started appearing in TV and films at first in small roles but then gradually becoming an actress.
